The Saltillo Difference
Made the same way it has been made for over 400 years.
Real Saltillo tile is made from natural clay pulled from the riverbeds of Saltillo, Mexico. It's hand-pressed by artisans, sun-dried in the Mexican heat, and fired in kilns built by hand.
That's why no two tiles are the same. Subtle variations in tone, shape, and texture are the signature of an authentic, handmade floor — the kind of character mass-produced ceramic tile has been trying to imitate for decades.
Available Shapes
Six classic Saltillo shapes.
From traditional 12x12 squares to ornate hexagons and pickets — every shape, every size, in pre-sealed or natural unsealed finish.
Square
The classic —4x4, 6x6, 8x8, 12x12, 16x16, 18x18. Timeless and the most popular for whole-home installs.
Hexagon
A modern favorite. Six-sided tiles in 6”, 8" and 12" widths, perfect for kitchens and entries.
Picket
Elongated, pointed-end tiles. A distinctive geometric pattern with rustic warmth.
Super Saltillo
Oversized 16x16 and 20x20 squares. The hero shape for grand spaces and patios.
Rectangular
Plank-style Saltillo in 3x6, 4x8. 6x12, and 8x16. Modern format, traditional character.
Riviera Pattern
One of the most elegant two tile patterns made out of Saltillo tile. The combination of the San Felipe and Fleur De Lis tiles make a striking statement in any space.

What our clients say
"We sourced 2,400 sq ft of Super Saltillo for a hill country build. Rustico's team quoted us same-day, the tile arrived on schedule, and the color variation looks like it belongs in a 200-year-old hacienda. We'll use them again."

Common Questions
Everything you’re wondering, answered.
How much does Saltillo tile cost?
Saltillo pricing depends on shape, size, finish, and project quantity. Most orders land between $3– $6 per square foot, plus freight. Call (512) 260-9111 for a quote tailored to your project.
Pre-sealed or unsealed — which should I order?
Pre-sealed Saltillo arrives ready to install and protects the tile during construction.
Unsealed gives you control over the final finish, but requires sealing on-site. We include a free sealing guide with every order.
How long does shipping take?
Samples ship in 1–2 business days.
Lead times vary depending on the product, order size, and delivery location.
Many in-stock products ship quickly, while custom or specialty items may require additional production time. Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information so you can monitor delivery progress.
If you're working on a project deadline, contact us before ordering—we’re happy to help confirm timelines.
Do you sell to designers and contractors?
Absolutely. Most of our business is trade. We offer wholesale-direct pricing on every project, no minimums, no membership. Mention you’re a designer or contractor when you call.
